Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

This page is maintained by Phoenix Opportunity Hub ("Phoenix", "we", "us") to explain what personal data we collect when you use phoenixopportunityhub.com and related services (the "Platform"), why we collect it, and the choices you have. This is a plain-English summary — it is not legal advice or a certification of any specific standard.

1. Who we are

Phoenix Opportunity Hub is a global platform that connects students, graduates, professionals, universities and employers with scholarships, jobs, events and AI-powered career coaching. For questions about this policy, contact privacy@phoenixopportunityhub.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account data you provide when you join: name, email, country, role and interests.
  • Partner enquiries submitted by universities or employers: institution, contact details, goals.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, opportunities saved, searches, device and browser info, approximate location derived from IP.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: strictly-necessary cookies to run the site, plus optional analytics cookies only if you accept them.
  • Payment data for Phoenix Pro: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your card number.

3. Why we use it

  • To create and secure your account and deliver the features you request.
  • To match you with relevant scholarships, jobs, events and coaching content.
  • To respond to partner enquiries from universities and employers.
  • To improve the Platform, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
  • To send you service messages and, only with your consent, marketing updates.

4. Legal bases (UK/EU users)

We rely on: (a) performance of a contract to provide the Platform, (b) legitimate interests to keep it secure and improve it, (c) consent for optional analytics cookies and marketing emails, and (d) legal obligation where required.

5. Sharing

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the Platform (e.g. hosting, email, payments, analytics), under contract and only for the purposes above. We do not sell your personal data. When you click through to a third-party opportunity or event, that provider's own privacy policy applies.

6. International transfers

Phoenix is a global service, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

8. Your rights

  • Access, correct or delete your personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe from marketing) at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Email privacy@phoenixopportunityhub.com to exercise any of these rights.

9. Cookies & your choices

When you first visit Phoenix you'll see a cookie banner where you can Accept or Decline optional analytics cookies. Strictly-necessary cookies (session, security) are always on because the site can't work without them. You can change your choice any time by clearing your browser storage or by returning to the banner controls.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and vetted service providers — to protect your data. No online service is 100% secure; if you believe an account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

11. Children

Phoenix is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us personal data, please contact us and we'll delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
